[Aimée Marie] Aimée turned up the volume on the radio when the song CrushCrushCrush by Paramore blasted through the speakers in her pale blue '64 VW Bus. She loved her car, a lot. She'd found it abandoned in the middle of a parking lot with the keys on the seat and chalk scribbled on the windshield saying 'take me'. She took the car, fixed it up, spent every last penny she had putting in a new engine, a new radio, basically a whole new car with the same exterior. It cost a fortune but it was worth everything she'd spent on it. Aimée sang along to the words of the song as she turned into her new home for the rest of the summer. She'd taken a job at her father's camp for troubled teens, she was a depression councilor. She couldn't help but smile at the irony. The blind leading the blind as they said. She wasn't depressed any more, per say but she had her moments...
She shrugged away the thought as she parked her car and looked up at the buildings in front of her. This was going to be an interesting summer... she thought. At least she got to drag Keith along with her. She would've adamantly refused if he wouldn't've been allowed to come.
"Here we go," she whispered, turning off her car and taking the keys from the ignition and stuffing them in her bag. She decided she'd leave all of her bags and belongings in the car until she found someone to talk to so they could tell her what the hell she was supposed to do. She hopped out of her car and leant against it, deciding on having a cigarette before she went to talk to anyone. She pulled out her back of Marlboro Reds and her lighter and sighed. She plucked a cigarette out of the pack and placed it between her lips, lighting it with one flick of her lighter. She hoped they allowed smoking here, even if they didn't she'd smoke anyways. It... helped her, calmed her down. She needed calm right now.
Smoking wasn't the best thing, granted it did give you cancer but, it was better than drugs right? In Aimee's mind, smoking was the good form of substances, smoking and drinking. She didn't snort meth or coke or shoot up anything. She only smoked marijuana once and a while and hell, it is a calming drug. Aimée shook her head and blew the smoke out in gentle smoke rings as she thought about how her therapist had tried to force her to quit smoking whenever she came in the office reeking of tobacco. Aimée, of course, threw a fit and rolled her eyes saying it was 'her own damn life' and she should live it how she pleased, at least she was taking her anti-depressants. Her therapist couldn't argue with that.
She inhaled a deep drag and looked around, taking in the scenery. The trees were bright green and full, the grass was thick and neatly trimmed, and there were cabins all over the place. She pulled her phone our of her back pocket and looked at it, her eyebrows raising in surprise when she saw she had full service where she was. At least she wouldn't be totally cut off from everyone.
Aimée took another long drag from her cigarette as she closed her eyes lightly, letting the warm sun consume her. She let a slow stream of smoke trail between her full lips as a light breeze ruffled her red hair. She kept her eyes closed even though she heard footsteps. They weren't her fathers, they weren't heavy enough. Curiosity overwhelmed her and she opened her eyes slowly, turning in the direction of the sound. {{Length: 669{{Wardrobe: [she's wearing converse instead]{{Music: Decode ;;paramore{{Tags: n/a.

[.maddison.] "listen, i need you to come back later, okay? jut go to the cabin and rest for a while." those were the last words her mother had said to young maddison. all she had done was go into her office to talk about the condition of the lake water. it seemed, as of lately, that all adeline allinson did was; organize the camp properly and spend time with her partner, one adam thatcher. if you didn't think maddison was suspicious, you were crazy and wrong. luckily, she got along well with all the thatcher girls so if anything did happen between her mother and their father, she would be content with her step-siblings. now if she was content with her own sister, madelyn. they just..didn't get along, those two. they did not click for the life of them. everytime they were alone, they ended up swinging their fists in the other's direction and the other was left with a nice shiner under either their left or right eye. sure, it was somewhat depressing that the two were such mortal enemies and that both girls would rather have siblings other than the other but it was how they worked. oh, don't fret, they would soon learn to appreciate each other over the course of the crazy summer. it's written in the script and if you dare to contradict me, i'll just show you the script.
so, where was maddison headed? well, it was the first day of camp and the campers had yet to arrive, although maddison was sure that some of the counselors were there for their summer jobs. maddison slipped her flats on before making her way out of the counselor's cabin. maddison moved some of her hair from her eyes before confidently putting it up in a loose ponytail. there would be no one there that she had to impress so why have her hair neat and proper to the point of nausea? sure, she liked to look good but if she was going to meet with someone she had seen everyday for the past year and a half, why impress? the grass was very neatly kept and the trees were as well. their parents really wanted to maintain a well groomed camp, obviously. it looked really nice and maddison sure as hell couldn't complain one bit. "all was golden in the sky.." it was a nice song, sure but why was she singing it under her breath? well, hell if i know and hell if she knows. no one. maddison didn't quite see anyone yet as she kept her head held high and her feet walking rather slowly. it was a rather lengthy walk up to the administration building from the alpha cabins and the way maddison was walking, it would take about a million years for her to reach the building where one of her closest friends was.
about ten more minutes of walking and maddison saw a flicker of long read hair and knew immediately who it belong to. it was none other than aimée marie thatcher herself. maddison's pace immediately quickened as she saw her friend and as soon as she got closer to her, a slurred, "hey" came from her mouth.

[Aimée Marie] Aimée smiled when she saw Maddison walking towards her. "Hey!" Maddison grinned. A smile lit up Aimée's face as her friend reached her. "Maddison!" she said, embracing her friend. She hadn't seen Maddison in ages, not since graduation. Aimée was really happy the two got to work together this summer, they had a lot of catching up to do. Aimée took the last drag of her cigarette and dropped it on the grass, crushing it beneath her foot. She looked at it sadly for a moment before turning to Maddison, a smile replacing the sadness of finishing her cigarette. She wanted another, which made her cringe slightly. She had a problem.
"I didn't know you were working here, too!" Aimée grinned, striking conversation so she'd forget about her disgusting habit. Aimée probably should've realized that she was going to be there, her mom owned the camp with her father. She cracked her neck while she listened to Maddison, glad to have found someone she knew, her sisters weren't there yet surprising. Aimée was normally the one who was late for things, which caused many arguments between her and her sisters.
Aimée's mind wandered slightly, she started thinking about the summer and how she was going to have to be a consular for kids not too unlike herself. At least she'd have a better handle on how to help them... but, would the sessions bring back unwelcome memories from her past? Probably. If they did, she would deal with them silently even though that wasn't the right way according to her therapist. She didn't really care, she knew she could take care of herself.
"We need to catch up.. it feels like it's been ages," Aimée smiled at Maddison. "What have you been up to?" She asked, genuinely interested. She would wait to unpack and figure out what to do, she wanted to relax first, and catch up with Maddison.
Aimée had never been too good of friends with Maddison until her senior year... Aimée didn't know how the two bonded, they just did. It was one of those instant friendships that happened overnight and no one really knew how to explain them. Aimée didn't mind though, she was glad to be friends with Maddison, she was a great girl. Their friendship hadn't wavered at all since they'd started hanging out, it was nice. Aimée was used to hanging out with Keith and her sisters, it was nice to have someone she wasn't related to/in love with.
Speaking of Keith... he was supposed to arrive soon. Aimée impulsively checked her cell phone for a text or missed call from him, nothing. She sighed and stuck her phone back into her pocket and looked back up at Maddison. "Sorry," she smiled apologetically. "Keith, Beth, and Lacey are supposed to be coming, I was making sure they didn't get lost," she laughed softly. It would be just like Lacey to end up driving in the complete opposite direction of the camp. {{Length: 616{{Wardrobe: [she's wearing converse instead]{{Music: that's what you get;;paramore{{Tags: n/a.

[.maddison.] if there was one thing that maddison was sure of, it was that aimée gave fantastic hugs when she wanted to and it seemed that it was a time when she really wanted to. although she nearly squeezed the breath of maddison, she still hugged her back, nearly just as hard. now, as soon as both girls tore away from each other, maddison returned the brilliant smile, "hey there." now, what in the world was maddison going to do with aimée? smoking was a horrible habit but hey, it beat drugs and alcohol by anyday. besides, it wasn't as if maddison could exactly dump all over aimée's bad habit, maddison was honestly no better. at age fifteen, maddison dubbed heavily in drugs and alcohol. and although she stopped right away, after her father passed on, she still believed she had no right to poo-poo all over other people for making a stupid mistake; like in aimée's case, she made the stupid mistake of smoking and maddison sure as hell didn't talk down to her like she was an ingrate or anything. not her style. plus, she knew karma was on patrol and she didn't want to be kicked in the ass by talking down to people. it just wasn't worth it. was aimée going to get lung cancer? sure, if she didn't quit soon but, it was better than drugs and alcohol.
maddison quickly shook out of trance when aimée exclaimed she didn't know that maddison was working at the retched summer camp herself. maddison had to smirk lightly. "oh, how i would love to be able to spend my summer at home, in front of the t.v. but, unfortunately no, i got stuck babysitting." after letting that very sentence pour from her mouth, maddison flashed her pal a joking smile. she didn't consider her job as babysitting, she found it as an opportunity to meet new people. the next question actually got a rather exasperated sigh from maddison. "other than keeping myself from killing madelyne, nothing really." it was true, as of lately, maddison and madelyne just didn't click. aiden parker was the reason. maddison shook him from her mind, deciding to think about him later on, "and how 'bout you, soon-to-be mrs. martin?" maddison winked soon after. she loved teasing her about it and that wouldn't change. when aimée pulled out her phone, maddison simply shrugged, she often did it herself when she was talking to people so she didn't mind one little bit when people did it to her. phone were becoming more and more common in the world and they were often the reason for broken up conversations. maddison was, sad to say, a victim of this.
"oh, it's no big deal. i'm sure they'll all get here soon."

[Aimée Marie] Aimée sighed longingly. How she would love to stay at home with Keith and relax. Just the two of them. They could plan the wedding in peace and she wouldn't have to revisit the issues she'd gotten past. A sigh escaped her lips as she looked up at Maddison. "Oh I agree," she laughed. Part of her did agree... but another part was slightly interested in this summer... and another part, the bigger part, was terrified of what she would hear and what would happen to her. She didn't want to end up back in the black hole she was in less than a year ago. She shook her head and sucked in a deep breath inconspicuously, leaning against her van, returning her attention to Maddison.
Aimée winced when she remembered Maddison and Madelyne's relationship. It was a dreadful one, the two were as opposite as north and south, black and white, positive end of a magnet and the negative end. Try as they might, the two never clicked. Aimée had witnessed many brutal fights between the sisters. She never knew, until she met them, that siblings could despise each other so much. She didn't think it possible. Early on in their friendship, Aimée tried to talk to Maddison about Madelyne but... that conversation ended abruptly when Maddison pretended like she hadn't heard Aimée speak and started talking about the new horror movie in theaters and insisted they go see it. "I hope you don't actually kill eachother, that would be very messy and a would need one hell of a cover story," she laughed, gently nudging her friend with her shoulder.
A smile spread across Aimée's face when she asked how she was, tagging Keith's name with a 'mrs.'. For a brief moment, a flash of their wedding flew across her mind. She wasn't able to contain a grin when she saw herself in a white dress and Keith at the altar in a tuxedo. She needed to see him now... she missed him. "I'm good! Wedding planning is going really well, surprisingly. Keith is very... helpful. I half expected him to make some excuse and leave it to me, Beth, and Lacey," she laughed. "I'm glad though. Oh hey! I totally spaced on asking you, will you be a bridesmaid?" Aimée asked. She felt like an idiot, they'd been planning the wedding for almost six months and she knew form the beginning she wanted Maddison as a bridesmaid. A slightly begging look came across her face. Her wedding wouldn't feel right if Maddison wasn't in it.
Aimée shook her head. "I'll bet you ten bucks Lacey is driving the opposite direction, convinced she's going the right way," she laughed. She decided she'd held off long enough and pulled her pack out again, plucking another cigarette form it and lighting it, taking a deep drag, calm instantly washing over her. She frowned at the 'cancer stick' in between her fingers as she let a steady stream of smoke out between her full lips. A little part of her wished it was a joint, that would calm her even more, but then again, she was at a camp with kids who had addiction problems. That probably wouldn't sit well with her dad or Maddison's mom. {{Length: 680{{Wardrobe: [she's wearing converse instead]{{Music: that's what you get;;paramore{{Tags: n/a.
